CMMU Examination

Prospective student who does not hold the evidences of English Proficiency (either TOEFL or IELTS) and Analytical Test (GMAT), needs to take the following CMMU Examination;

(Test of Analytical Proficiency)

The CMMU Analytical Test is a Multiple Choice Test with 5 possible answers. This test requires a candidate’s analytical ability like the GMAT test. No calculator allow in this examination. The CMMU Analytical Test takes 1 hour and comprises 35 questions divided into 3 question types. The 3 types of question are:
  • Part 1: Logic 10 question
  • Part 2: Problem Solving 15 question
  • Part 3: Data Sufficiency 10 question

  • Part 1: Logic

    A retailer tries a new strategy to sell a new instant noodles brand. Each customer who spends 200 baht on instant noodles will receive a free sample bag of instant noodles. After launching this campaign, the retailer notices that the shop’s stock of noodles dropped tremendously. The marketing department concluded that this strategy is a success and that the retailer will receive more income from the new instant noodle brand.

    Question: Which of the following may conflict with the success of this plan?
    (A) The price of this brand of noodles is 50 percent higher than other brands.
    (B) Sales of this instant noodles brand have been growing steadily, although the sample noodles have all been given away.
    (C) The Accountant stated that over 90 percent of noodles now supplier to customers are given free of charge.
    (D) Customer feedback indicates that more than 70 percent of people who have sampled this brand of noodles say that they taste better than other noodles in the market.
    (E) A database of credit card customers suggests that more than 65 percent of customers who have received a sample say they plan to buy this brand again.
  • Part 2: Problem Solving

    Alan has 1.5 times more money than Bernard. Alan has ¾ more money than Charles. Alan, Bernard and Charles together have 3,900 baht. How much money does Alan have?
    (A) 900 Baht
    (B) 1,000 Baht
    (C) 1,200 Baht
    (D) 1,300 Baht
    (E) 1,500 Baht
  • Part 3: Data Sufficiency

    How much profit does a company make after tax in 2011?
    1. The company tax rate is 30%.
    2. In 2011 the company paid 150,000 Baht in tax.

    (A) Statement 1 ALONE is needed to answer the question.
    (B) Statement 2 ALONE is needed to answer the question.
    (C) BOTH statements 1 and 2 are needed to answer the question.
    (D) EITHER statement 1 or 2 is sufficient to answer the question.
    (E) NEITHER statement 1 or 2 is sufficient to answer the question.
Note: CMMU Analytical Test is not tested:
  • Knowledge of business such as Accounting, Marketing, Finance and Economic.
  • Some knowledge of teaching undergraduate classes such as Calculus Integration Matrix series, trigonometry, etc.
  • The creative perspective, attitude, beliefs or personal philosophy.
  • Ability to use English.
